Heads Up with Cristiano Ronaldo!, WOW! What a week it has been. Our newest iPhone game “Heads Up with Cristiano Ronaldo” was released to an overwhelming response and we could not be more proud.  

Our team has spent many hours,  weeks,  and months working hard to bring you the very best in mobile gaming and we can’t thank you and our celebrity friends enough for the love you have shown us.  

In our first week, we hit #1 paid and free sports app worldwide. There has been over 32,000 tweets about “Heads Up” and “@HeadsUp” in the past 7 days. 

It’s been a crazy summer… 2 weeks ago we released Main Event 2.1 which included Jersey Shore’s Pauly D. Usage has been crazy with most folks skipping levels and going directly for Pauly’s level. For the first time since Chad was on Dancing with the Stars, our servers nearly crashed. I’ve never watched an episode of Jersey Shore but I can tell you that Pauly and his team have been super cool to work with. We will do more with Pauly outside of Main Event. 

First of all, what an awesome launch. You helped us gain some serious momentum, which lead us to be a top downloaded game in iTunes without spending a dime on marketing. I seriously appreciate it. 

This has also allowed us to develop and release version 2.0 of Main Event. Check it out in the App Store as it’s now available for free. Look out for the following changes:

New Gestures 

There is a new control, you can now swipe up to uppercut, tap to punch, double tap to block and the most fun gesture, swipe left and right to dodge. It took us some time to add and perfect this but it was worth it, it’s pretty awesome. 

4 New Characters

We replaced a few characters with 4 new ones. These new guys are more fun to fight but have some wicked moves, so be careful and more importantly patient as you fight them… you can do it! 

Coins vs. Points

We changed our currency from points to coins. It’s easier to track and manage. It may look like you got a lot less points for fights, but it’s actually calculated correctly. For every 100,000 points you had before, it’s been converted to 75 coins. Don’t worry,it applies to every user. 

SoBe Try Everything Challenge 

Thanks to the folks at SoBe, we created an all new training mode/mini-game where you can sharpen your skills, earn free power-ups and compete for a chance to train with the real Mike Tyson this fall in Vegas. 

The mission is simple, punch and dodge your way through various obstacles in the beach setting. The player with the highest score on the SoBe Leaderboard on August 21, 2011 will win a trip to Las Vegas to meet and train with Mike Tyson.
